Etymotic - EVO

Etymotic ER EVO is the first multi-driver earphone from Etymotic. The ER EVO has been scientifically engineered for accuracy with the purest bass response. Etymotic's engineers have pushed the boundaries of sonic accuracy with a custom joined triple balanced armature driver module in a two-way configuration with dual bass drivers and a driver dedicated to midrange and treble. The drivers are assigned with a two-way crossover, superior ear tip seal, and housed into a special acoustic module, the Evo contains Etymotic’s truest sound signature and a wider soundstage. These earphones deliver a true and transparent sound across the entire frequency spectrum. The earphones present a frequency response from 20Hz-16kHz with an impedance of 47 ohms.

With the ER EVO, Etymotic is taking a departure from their well-known precision-machined, anodized and laser-etched aluminium bodies look of Etymotic's ER line. The EVO is designed using the metal injection moulding technique. In this technique, metal powder and resin are mixed and then precisely poured into metal moulding, further heated and pressurized to form the body of the earphone and add geometrically complex curves. The body moulded is of stainless steel material and is super sturdy.

The Etymotic ER EVO is designed with ergonomics in mind. The engineers at Etymotic have carefully looked at the shape of the ear and arrived at the most comfortable fit. The final design cradles the earphone within the ear’s concha, allowing for a snug fit. This design lets the body of the earphones to rest comfortably on the concha and allows for longer music listening. This scientifically driven engineering and accuracy based design continues to lead the way in sound innovation.

To improve performance, Etymotic designed the ER EVO with a high-end Estron cable. The Linum BaX T2 reduces microphonics thanks to being extremely lightweight while maintaining reliability and durability. The cable is a 50-inch detachable reference cable with extra strength and is a tangle-free double twisted cable with a T2TM connector and 3.5mm angled mini-jack plug. This conveys music with supreme precision, impact and dynamics. The package for the EVO also comes bundled with an aluminium case, a cloth bag, 2 flange, 3 flange, and foam ear tips. There are also replacement filters and filter replacement tool included for convenience.
